1992
Working on my art as much as I could while working full time in an auto parts warehouse I became friends with a couple of students during this time that were very talented and very kind to me. Allowing me to hang out, drink tea, stay up very late, and explore and create together. Their generosity will never be forgotten.
Finding a studio space with almost unlimited space to make anything I wanted was a key ingredient in the process to push things even further. Getting more physically involved in the act of creating help to put my whole self in my work.
Seeing shapes and textures rise up after the trials of self editing could be seen (these works seen on this sight). Certain patterns and vocabularies that develop in these works are related to light and shadows found in nature, simple chemical interactions both theoretical and practical, other artists works such as Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Motherwell, Louise Bourgeois, Joseph Beuys served as an inspiration to the work.
